Baby photos...

Redick Grant Lair was born at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. He was 9 pounds 14 ounces and 22 inches long. A big boy, but otherwise healthy. Jessamyn is well, too.

Easter Weekend...

Rowen's first year dyeing Easter eggs. Even though he spilled dye everywhere and knocked half of the eggs off the table, he had a great time.

Rowen quickly picked up the idea. He had nearly filled his basket when we told him to leave some for the younger kids.

Rowen also got to steer a Sweet Home fire engine for a minute, which would've been a great experience. But then a guy dressed as the Easter bunny came up and started tickling him, and that's all he remembered about the whole event.

Recent pics...

We recently spent a weekend at the coast. The sun wasn't out but it was warm enough for a walk on the beach.



Rowen plays with some Play-doh as he tries on the sombrero his cousins sent him from Colombia.

Snow arrives in SH...

The wild man...this is what an afternoon of sugar cookies and finger paints will do to a guy.

Painting on paper plates and themselves... Tierney later explained to me that life imitates art and thus her actions were an extension of her philosophy.

Rowen and Tierney hitch a ride through the junior high parking lot...faster, faster, they cried.

The 4,000th photo of Rowen with the snow people...I think the neighbors think we're crazy.


Footnote: I should add that several hours later the snow people were decapitated by some passing hooligans... that's the price you pay for living in Sweet Home.
